Software for PSDC (1st and 13th Places)
PSDC (Provincial Software Development Competition) is a software development competition conducted by SEMP (Secondary Education Modernization Project) and Microsoft. Main target of this project is to encourage students to develop learning materials, that can help with day to day learning process. So we were strictly instructed to develop something that could be used as a learning material.
I could participate in the competition for two years and I could archive the 1st place in year 2006 (for project named – Astronomy learning Kit 2006). Unfortunately I could only reach 13th place in year 2007 (for project named – Periodic Table of Elements). I still don’t know why my software dropped down when the 5th place was won by
a simple PowerPoint presentation. Oh yes, SEMP accept PowerPoint or flash presentation for this competiton.
Anyway, I though of share the year 2007 project “Periodic Table of Elements”, here. The software was coded in VB6 (my favorite language at that time) and this project uses “Microsoft Agent Control” which was deprecated in Windows 7. So this software might not work properly on Windows 7 (not tested).
